Liverpool has plenty of great pubs and cocktail bars, but what are the best evening date spots in the centre for people who don’t drink (or just want an alternative to sitting in a pub)?

Looking for evening activities, late-opening cultural spots, cinema nights or dessert places that are open past 8pm where you can hang out for a couple of hours.

FACT on Wood Street is the easiest shout for this. Catch an independent film at the Picturehouse and get a tea or soda in the lounge afterwards. Another good one is late openings at the Walker or Tate when they run evening talks, or mini golf down in the Baltic if you want something completely lighthearted.
